THE BUZZ: The story, action, and aesthetic seems a little more unhinged in the sequel toDivergent -- do you agree? And we don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Lately I've been wondering
if this franchise is facing an uphill battle since its star is more interesting than the character she plays. You can hear what the cast has to say about the movie here.

THE BUZZ: It's Sean Penn's turn to try out the action-genre generator that has done right by Liam Neeson, but even though The Gunman has a 007-level cast, the word on the wire is that heavy
handed political storytelling and hammy performances (ahem, Bardem) make for some missed-opportunity entertainment.

THE BUZZ: Remember the stalker-lite documentary My Date with Drew? Well, now one of that project's directors, Jon Gunn, is in Faith-movie mode and aligned with the behind-the-scenes people who recently declared that God's Not Dead.
Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter (2014)
- Drama
A jaded Japanese woman discovers a hidden copy of Fargo (1996) on VHS, believing it to be a treasure map indicating the location of a large case of money.
Director:David Zellner

THE BUZZ: Almost 20 years later, and we're all still talking about Fargo. For good reason: the current TV show iss a startling wonder, and now we get to watch Rinko Kikuchi bring to life one of the oddest true stories ever related to a film. I also kinda loved writer-director David Zellner's previous movie, Kid-Thing.
Danny Collins (2015)
- Comedy | Drama
An aging rock star decides to change his life when he discovers a 40-year old letter written to him by John Lennon.
Director:Dan Fogelman

THE BUZZ: Screenwriter Dan Fogelman makes his directorial debut in a story that seems like a custom fit for Al Pacino -- even if the overall territory, barring the letter from John Lennon, feels a bit familiar. I've read more than one review that indicates Bobby Cannavale and Jennifer Garner "transcend their worst instincts" -- which is one of my favorite movie-critique phrases of the new year -- and turn in noteworthy performances.
Spring (2014)
- Horror | Romance | Sci-Fi
A young man in a personal tailspin flees the US to Italy, where he sparks up a romance with a woman harboring a dark, primordial secret.

THE BUZZ: Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are making marks as indie filmmakers; they worked together on Resolution and had skaters fight off skeletons in their recent V/H/S: Viral segment.Spring seems like it could be a shoegazer horror movie centered on a character who looks to evade a real-life predicament by melding with the Italian countryside. His co-star, Nadia Hilker, embodies the notion that something is not quite right in this particular village. Whether or not the filmmakers can maintain tension and deliver on the narrative - the verdict seems to be split amongst critics.
Can't Stand Losing You: Surviving the Police (2012) - [New York City]
- Documentary | Biography | History | Music
Based on the memoir One Train Later by guitarist Andy Summers, Can't Stand Losing You: Surviving the Police tells of the rise of The Police.
| |

THE BUZZ: It's almost been a decade since the last reunion of The Police, and there have been rumblings of another go-round for Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland. This documentary turns a spotlight not only on the band, but on Summers as a photographer, since he has been chronicling the band's history since they came together in the late 1970s.
